We arrive in Lucca. The husband of the property proprietess picked us up at the train station. He gave us several tips on the way in and showed us where to rent our bicycles.

There have been several walls around the city over time. Looking out the kitchen window was a view of one of the oldest.

We rented bikes and road around the city wall twice.
Puccini was from Lucca and they have converted an old church into a performance space. They had two opera singers. The cost was Euro25 each but the performers were excellent and the acoustics great.
